The kit around the camera

We sell the things that make a camera usable in the field and at home: something steady to stand it on, something safe to carry it in, glass to shape the light and a backdrop to shoot against. No bodies, no lenses, no electronics we can't explain.

Every listing says what it fits: thread size, maximum load, folded length, which phones a clamp will hold. If you're not sure whether a tripod will take your body with a 70–200 mm lens, or which filter diameter your lens uses, email us before you buy and we'll check it against your setup.

Orders are packed from Northern Ireland and shipped tracked to every part of the UK. If something isn't right, you have 14 days to change your mind.

How to Choose

Three quick checks before you order a tripod or a filter.

Tripod by weight

Load, height, folded length

Load: add body and heaviest lens, then double it. A 1.6 kg setup wants a 3–4 kg rating.
Height: without the centre column, legs should reach your chin.
Travel: under 45 cm folded fits a backpack side pocket.

Filter by thread

The ⌀ number on your lens

Size: look for ⌀ on the lens barrel or inside the cap, e.g. 67 or 77 mm.
Several lenses: buy for the largest and use step-up rings.
Wide angles: pick slim mounts to avoid dark corners.

What you shoot decides the rest

Landscape: sturdy legs, polariser for water and skies, ND for long exposures.
Video and vlogs: gimbal for movement, variable ND for daylight.
Portraits at home: neutral backdrop and a reflector by the window.

“Will a travel tripod hold my mirrorless body with a 70–200 mm f/4?” Usually yes: that pair is around 1.5 kg, and most carbon travel legs are rated 6 kg or more. Hang your bag from the centre hook on windy days.

Common questionTripods

“Do I need a UV filter on a digital camera?” Not for the image itself. It's a cheap layer of glass that takes the salt spray and scratches instead of your front element.

“Can I return something I've opened?” Yes. Unpacking to check it fits is fine; tell us within 14 days of delivery and send it back in a condition we can resell.

14-day returns

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you can cancel within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving a reason. Email us, send the item back within a further 14 days and we refund the price and standard delivery within 14 days of getting it back. Faulty items: we cover the return postage.
